Diagnostic
The functions, electronic circuits and appearance of your Tissot are inspected. The information is entered into a document which will accompany your watch throughout its service.
Cleaning of the case and bracelet
The bracelet and case are dismantled and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. The movement is carefully stored under a protective dome during these operations.
Restoration of water resistance
Components such as the glass*, water resistance gaskets, crown and pushers are replaced to ensure your Tissot is perfectly water resistant.
* except for shaped mineral glasses and sapphire glasses
Dismantling of the movement
The dial and hands are removed. The watchmaker dismantles the movement and meticulously inspects the wear of each component. Worn components are replaced.
Cleaning of the movement
The movement's various components are placed in washing baskets and fixed to an ultrasonic machine. Several baths ensure that the components are impeccably clean before reassembly.
Reassembly of the movement
All the components are painstakingly assembled by the watchmaker and each point of friction is treated with a special high-quality oil. The tiny drops deposited are practically invisible to the naked eye but are vital to the proper functioning of the movement. A Tissot movement may require more than 80 lubrication operations.
Fitting of the dial and hands
The dial is placed on the movement and the hands are positioned using a press. The watchmaker needs to skilfully position the hands to ensure they are perfectly aligned.
Adjustment of the rate
The newly cleaned case can once again house the movement. The watchmaker adjusts the precision of your Tissot by slightly changing the frequency of the heart of the movement – the balance spring. He then closes the case of the watch.
Inspection of the water resistance
Your Tissot is placed in a pressurized device. Following a series of tests, the watchmaker receives confirmation that your watch is water resistant.
Inspection of the functions
The watchmaker checks the functions and sets your Tissot to the correct time.
Quality control
24 hours after the service, the watchmaker conducts a final inspection to check that your Tissot is functioning perfectly.
Return of your Tissot
Your Tissot benefits from a two-year warranty for the service carried out and is returned to you in a protective pouch.
